The Eaton 5PX UPS is an enterprise-class battery backup with extended runtime, designed for virtualized environments. The 5PX delivers reliable backup power in tower and various rackmount form factors for enterprise and distributed IT applications. Eaton’s next generation LCD display also offers a graphical interface which provides all critical UPS information in a single screen view.

As the first in the UPS industry to comply with the UL 2900-2-2 cybersecurity standard, Eaton’s optional gigabit network card (NETWORK-M2) provides remote monitoring and management for the 5P family of products. When paired with Eaton Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) software, IT professionals can seamlessly manage their connected equipment install base, even in virtualized environments. Some 5P models are also available with long-life lithium-ion batteries, which offer reduced maintenance over the life of the system when compared to lead-acid versions.

Applications for the Eaton 5PX UPS include enterprise and distributed IT. This type of UPS is particularly suitable for small businesses with long runtime needs. As compared to VRLA batteries, a lithium ion UPS like the Eaton 5PX delivers up to twice the useful life and less weight, all while being easier to install and charging faster. They’re also able to withstand higher operating temperatures and are better for the environment. The Eaton 5PX UPS stands out from other lithium ion UPSs by protecting even more devices: the 5PX provides 28 percent more wattage compared to traditional UPSs.
